JOB SUMMARY

Matches deliveries with MMIS purchase orders, verifying product and quantity received matches PO. Deliver packages and products to designated locations. Maintains package delivery log. Document receipt of tissue using tissue tracking software. Ship outgoing packages using preferred vendor and requested shipping method. Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing packages to assist with research.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Receiving

· Receive deliveries into MMIS accurately, verifying product and quantity matches PO. Deliver products to their intended location. Rotate storeroom stock when shelving supplies.

·Promptly notifies Buyer of receiving discrepancies, damaged products, mis-picks and other shipping errors.

· Maintain cleanliness of dock, receiving area and outside area around dock. Keep pallets organized. Keep dock and back steps free of snow during the winter as needed.

· Clean bins and delivery carts in receiving area regularly.

Inventory Management/Tracking

· Complete assigned Pyxis inventories weekly. Check expiration dates for assigned Pyxis and floorstock areas monthly.

· Maintain package receiving/delivery log with signatures and information to record deliveries/packages.

· Track tissue receipts in tissue tracking software, recording required information and attaching unique label to each tissue package.

· Accurately scan and save packing slips for PO/invoice research.

Customer Service/Teamwork

· Provide customer service to walk-ins in Materials. Issues and document employee payroll deduct purchases. Respond to inquiries while traveling around the hospital.

· Keep current on other departmental skills. Assist co-workers as needed. May fill in for other department positions as needed. Participate in annual inventory. Attend and participate in bi-weekly staff meetings.

· Contribute to ongoing process improvement, helping to identify issues and create solutions. Complete other tasks as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education

Required: High School Diploma/GED

Preferred: Associates or bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain management

Minimum Work Experience

Required: 2 to 4 years related work experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess good communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. Basic computer skills. Must be a team player, working well with co-workers and other hospital staff, while also being able to work independently.

Preferred: 2 years shipping/receiving/inventory experience. Prefer previous healthcare experience.

Required Licenses: Valid Driver's license for state of residence. Able to operate courier vehicle in a safe manner, positively representing SJH.

FUNCTIONAL DEMANDS

Working Conditions: Mainly indoors, storeroom setting. Using carts, transports supplies around hospital and living center. May be exposed to outside weather in a variety of conditions. May be expected to operate vehicles in a variety of road conditions, including snow and ice with limited visibility. Must be on-site at the SJH campus or other facilities to fulfill the responsibilities of this role.

Physical Requirements: 90% of day standing, walking, pushing carts. 10% sitting at computer. Must be able to lift at least 55 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds. Operate computer, package scale and postage machines Able to drive courier van and put away stock. Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push and reach above shoulders lifting to receive and shelve products.
